Are Your Posts Pushing People Further Away From Your Business?
Have you ever wondered if your business posts are annoying and turning people off?
The truth is that many Network Marketers are ruining their business on social media (without even knowing it!).
In this blog post I'm going to share the RIGHT way to to recruit on social media and 5 different types of posts that are turning people off, but most importantly I'm going to share a strategy that will actually help you grow your business online.
Many uplines are still unfortunately in the dinosaur age and are teaching outdated approaches to building online.
A lot of the time what I find is that it is also simply a lack of skill set for your upline. They can't teach you what they don't know, so it may not necessarily be intentional.
However what worked 5 years ago online to bring huge success to others in your company doesn't work anymore.
What's worse, it might actually be repelling people!
Top 5 Warning Signs That Your Social Media Posts Are Actually Turning People Off
1. Do you post before and after photo's constantly?
2. Does your first private message to someone you don't know include a link to join your opportunity (it's crazy how many people still do this)
3. Are you stuck to your phone 24/7 pm'ing strangers?
4. Do you post constant photo's of your product? Product post after product post?...
5. Do you engage in conversations online, with a hidden agenda, hoping that your prospect will just magically ask what it is you do ? (I personally used to hate this one)
If you answered 'YES' to any of the above then you're probably ready for a new strategy...
And trust me, I was guilty of all the above once upon a time
Now, don't get me wrong I'm not saying forget social media and go back to old school ways of recruiting with home parties, coffee shop meetings and handing out flyers at the local supermarket (I've done all these too). Building your business online isn't just possible, it's way smarter.
Work smart, not hard right 😉
Last month alone I generated 831 leads for my business and just last week I recruited 4 people in 48 hours using a proven online strategy called attraction marketing.
I have been using this strategy online since 2015...
It's the number 1 strategy that has built my business.
Now before I talk more about attraction marketing I want to share something you can do immediately to recruit new people on social media.
Stop Posting The Name Of Your Company Everywhere
Do you know how many sales you're giving to Google when you do this? People shouldn't be able to figure out which company you're with.
If your prospects can go and search more information on the products and business you're in - what do they need you for?
You want to create some intrigue and curiosity. Giving the game away, as I like to call it, stops your prospect from getting into a conversation with you. This also means they will do their own research and come to their own conclusion based off of what they read online. Or worse you could lose them to your competition.
By posting about your company, you are saying the company plays a bigger role in helping them than you do.
You're just another sales person - an unimportant commodity - they don't need. In fact, if you are perceived as a sales person, this is an instant turn off for your prospects!
What often happens too is they stumble upon negative things, this turns them completely off and they won't want to talk to you. Obviously, in a business that relies on trust and relationships, the prospect NEEDS YOU.
Create a little mystery and curiosity, by focusing on what you can do for people or help them with. And if you haven't figured it out already, all these lessons apply to building OFFLINE, as well as ONLINE. DO NOT diminish the critical role you play as an advisor and expert in the eyes of your prospect.
Great networkers position themselves as advisors (not sales people), who can help others get what they want.
But here's the interesting thing;
" When I Stopped Prospecting and Bugging People, My Business Started Growing! "
When you discover that relief of being able to live your life again, where you treat humans like humans and not a prospect, that is lifestyle freedom.
After all you joined your business to create more freedom in your life right?
Yet most are still feeling the need to prospect everyone within 3 feet of them.
And hey, I've met and worked with many networkers who still LOVE this approach, and hats off them .
For me personally, I like to be able to switch off, not feel like I have a hidden agenda, and quite frankly leave my business online.
I don't do any prospecting or building offline (unless it absolutely, naturally comes up in a conversation).
Funny that when I STOPPED prospecting and bugging people, my business actually started to grow.
And it's grown ever since.
At this point, you may be asking, " Then how on earth did your business grow? "
Great question. Before I answer that, I have to say that there are people who are very skilled prospectors and recruiters who completely disregard the issues I mentioned above.
They are able to approach every interaction with a stranger as a prospecting opportunity.
Getting ridiculed or straight up ignored by prospects is no big deal, as long as some people say 'yes'.
Now, I don't know about you but I couldn't handle that approach.
The problem with prospecting in general, as it's normally taught, is that the mindset going in, is still about what YOU want people to do.
It's about YOU, not them. And being honest, I had this mindset for a long time, and I stayed stuck (go figure)... until I found a better way.
But the reason I was able to quit prospecting was because, with the help of some amazing mentors, I eventually discovered an online recruiting strategy, which...
Enabled me to generate more leads and recruit more people than even the most skilled recruiter. I was able to passively generate leads, customers and new team members- even when I was out having fun with friends and family.
(Which is what it's all about right?)
Rather than spending hours spamming or private messaging people on social media, I learned how to legitimately get Facebook and other online platforms to actually help me attract the people who are most interested in what I have to offer.
Every day I wake up to an email inbox full of notifications for new leads and new customers, and messages from people wanting to join my team.
This strategy is called " attraction marketing ", which is an online marketing strategy designed for anyone in the home based business industry who need leads and sales.
Earlier I spoke about how I used to be on my phone 24/7 pm'img and basically spamming my link to people... It's safe to say I was pretty clueless when it came to building my business online.
Thankfully I was introduced to mentors who taught me the skill of Attraction Marketing and now I want to share it with you.
So if you are wondering what Attraction Marketing is all about I want you to imagine this...
You wake up in the morning, open up your email, and smile. You smile because you see commissions, new leads (yey) and people applying/messaging to join your team and buy your products. This didn't happen over-night or by accident. It happened because you followed a proven step by step system to attract people to you online.
And I'm not talking about your Aunt Sue, your BFF, or your next door neighbour. I'm talking about highly qualified people that you've never physically met.
That is " Attraction Marketing ". Pretty cool, right?
Now, you might be thinking. " Ummmmm...this sounds too good to be true ". I get it - I thought the same!
When I was first introduced to this I had my seriously sceptical head on... but I was also fed-up with the methods I was using and I was ready to try something new.
There's only so much rejection you can take before you feel ready to quit!
